Jacqueline started CrossFit in the summer of 2013 with OCCF and continued the journey at CrossFit Greenville while finishing her second degree at ECU. After graduating, she came back to the old stomping grounds where she convinced Matt, her boyfriend, to check it out. Now, CrossFit is an integral part of their lifestyle. The people of the community are an added bonus.
She enjoyed team sports growing up and missed the active team dynamic once she started college. CrossFit fills that hole. It allows her to grow mentally and physically as a person while incorporating the team spirit. The CrossFit community helps her reach personal goals and helps her mentally prepare for daily life/activities. She wants the same for others and enjoys seeing someone leave the gym with a smile of pride and accomplishment after a good workout. One of the main purposes of CrossFit is developing functional fitness and she wants to make it easier for everyone to be able to carry their groceries to the kitchen, play in the yard with their family without getting out of breath quickly, and more simply, enjoy life. For her, CrossFit helps her achieve those functional fitness goals and she wants to offer that opportunity to others.
